Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts, as well as hands-on experience in bookkeeping and general accounting practices. Qualifications: Active CPA license required. 5+ years of relevant experience in tax preparation and accounting. Strong understanding of GAAP and current tax laws. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, UltraTax, and other Thomson Reuters products). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with payroll and sales tax filings. Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance. Enrolled Agent. Prior experience in a public accounting firm. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services. Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Handle monthly and quarterly bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients. Assist clients with accounting system setup and maintenance (e.g., QuickBooks). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide proactive support. Collaborate with internal staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting and filings.
