Position Overview:

We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary program at Marisi. The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, and team leadership. Your main task will be to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional dishes that truly reflect the essence of Marisi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team through hands-on leadership and mentorship.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and execution, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with ownership and leadership team on seasonal menu development.
  • Maintain a strong focus on Italian culinary traditions, while incorporating local and seasonal California ingredients.
  • Manage food and labor costs to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local purveyors and farmers.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or CDC in high-volume.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for Italian cuisine.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing culinary talent.
  • Experience with inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations.
