Senior BIM Project Designer – Structural Engineering

Job Summary

We are a globally recognized, award-winning structural engineering firm with offices in Southern California. We're hiring a Senior BIM Project Designer to join our team at our Downtown Los Angeles headquarters. This role offers substantial growth opportunities and involvement in a diverse range of innovative and technically complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert 2D drawings and project specs into advanced 3D, 4D (time/sequencing), and 5D (cost-integrated) BIM models.
• Lead 4D construction project management, including sequencing and scheduling.
• Extract material and construction quantities from BIM models for cost analysis and budget planning.
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans tailored to each project.
• Oversee BIM processes, including modeling, clash detection, and quality control.
• Conduct Whole Building Life Cycle Assessments (WBLCA) to support sustainable design initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit, structural design, and clash detection methodologies.
