About the Role:

The Finance department is looking for a Full-Time detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with strong Accounts Receivable and GAAP principles foundation to join our growing finance team. This position will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate recording of revenue, managing customer accounts and collections, and supporting the month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) in the ERP system
  • Monitor AR aging reports and perform proactive follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Assist in month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for AR-related transactions
  • Ensure revenue recognition complies with GAAP and company policy
  • Collaborate with Sales and Service teams to resolve billing issues
  • Support external audits and provide necessary AR documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement of AR processes and systems
  • Assist with inventory reconciliations, investigate variances, support month-end inventory close activities, and coordinate with operations or warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor Eclipse, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently

Preferred:

  • Experience in a high-volume AR environment
  • Familiarity with cash application and payment portals
  • Exposure to Projects/Construction-based business models a plus
  • Knowledge of internal controls and audit support

Benefits:

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000 based on experience and qualifications + great opportunity for advancement.

This position is in the office Monday – Friday.
