Talent4Health is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Windsor, Vermont.

Your traveler will be expected to:

 

• Work independently within two weeks of start date AND in a team setting
• Obtain blood specimens
• Maintain knowledge of specific specimen requirements
• Follow correct order of draw based upon tube type and special handling of tests
• Utilize proper resources for obtaining specimen requirement information
• Collect and enter off-site blood work into system
• Complete and process a variety of forms
• Obtain pre-authorization and patient signature
• Prepare specimens for in-lab testing or off-site shipment

• Ensure blood-drawing stations are clean and well stocked

   

Minimum 2 years current Medical Technologist/MT/MLS experience - Required ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY/HIT THE GROUND RUNNING - REQUIRED HIGH PROFICIENCY IN TESTING IN ALL AREAS OF LAB (MUST BE AN MT "GENERALIST") - REQUIRED High proficiency in PHLEBOTOMY, chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and read Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology. PHLEBOTOMY/VENIPUNCTURE EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED - PHLEBOTOMY CHECKLIST REQUIRED! Travel experience – Highly preferred This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.
