About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Strategic Communications to oversee executive communications, strategic messaging, and both internal and external speaking engagements for senior leaders. This role is pivotal in leading the narrative and vision of the Media Group, which encompasses a diverse range of consumer-first brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing executive speaking engagements that enhance the leaders' presence in the industry, as well as creating and owning messaging for various internal and external events. Key tasks include serving as the primary authority on the Chairman's voice, collaborating with various teams on messaging that drives executive visibility, and providing strategic counsel on sensitive communication matters, including crisis management. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in executive communications, corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with a proven track record of supporting and advising senior executives. The role requires a deep understanding of the media, entertainment, and technology landscape, as well as strong relationships with conference organizers and the media. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional speechwriting and storytelling skills, be a strategic thinker, and have excellent project management abilities. Experience in crisis communications and reputation management is essential, and the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor other members is highly valued. The position is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office, and the candidate should be prepared for a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
