Our client is hiring a Butler - Houseman as their current team member is retiring after 20+ years. We are seeking an experienced private service professional to provide exceptional service and to the principals and their guests. The right candidate understands that the Butlers main role is to assist the principals and anticipate their needs. The ideal candidate will have impeccable standards, keen attention to detail, and the aptitude for ensuing the smooth and efficient running of the estate. The Butler-Houseman works in lockstep with the Estate Manager and other team members and reports to the principals. Key Responsibilities Serve formal and informal meals, bartend as needed, and assist with event planning Manage inventories of fine china, silverware, wine, and artwork Maintain a log of all appliance needs and repairs and notify EM of any deficiencies Oversee the organization and care of estate spaces and storage areas Assist with guest management, including greeting, room preparation, and ensuring guest comfort Polish silver, copper, and brass. Wind clocks Work closely with the Chef for meal planning and preparation Present daily newspapers Empty trash bins and handle recycling Run errands, drive the principals, assist with pet care Qualifications Professional appearance and demeanor, reliable, and trustworthy Prior housekeeping and private home experience Strong knowledge of home maintenance and repair Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle effectively any situation arising ensuring a smooth operation of estate household Prompt, courteous, and trustworthy Willing to perform both indoor and outdoor work Valid drivers license required Schedule: Generally, a five-day work week. Tuesday to Saturday (Sun/Mon off) OR Sunday to Thursday (Fri/Sat off) This is a full-time, year-round position and requires flexibility for some changes in your schedule when other team members are on vacation, etc. This is a supportive team environment. Compensation: Base compensation of $125,000 to $150,000 depending on experience Annual discretionary bonus Excellent benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with match, 15 days PTO, sick days, paid federal holidays, and more Housing available for the right candidate
