Part-Time Operations Manager & Chief Energy Officer

Sylvan Learning Center is looking for a Part-Time Activities and Operations Director.

We seek a highly motivated, self-directed, and energetic individual eager to make learning fun and to help the center run efficiently.

You will be responsible for the smooth operations of the center, including data entry, answering phones, greeting customers, scheduling and confirming appointments, leading students in engaging activities, and assisting the Center Director with other duties.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in a camp-like setting and be comfortable leading activities for students from kindergarten to high school.

Requirements

• 15-20+ hours per week during summer, which is our busy season.
• Availability Tuesday-Friday 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM, and Wednesday 3:00-7:00 PM in July-August 16th; and two evenings per week (4:00-8:00 PM) starting August 16th. Preference for Monday-Thursday availability during the school year.
• Seeking candidates interested in long-term employment who want to contribute beyond just earning a paycheck.

• Computer proficiency and willingness to learn our operations software.
• Strong organizational and self-direction skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to change and handle essential tasks as assigned.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.
• Capability to prioritize, multi-task, and produce high-quality work.
