Head of Partnerships (Fractional)

Our work spans Global Membership, the AI 2030 Institute, AI 2030 Labs, the Accelerator, Global Events and the Responsible AI Marketplace.
About the role
As our fractional Head of Partnerships, you will own the partner pipeline from first conversation to renewal. You will design partnership offerings across membership, the Institute, Labs, the Accelerator, Global Events and the Marketplace, and build long-term relationships that help us reach our North Star of one million lives improved by 2030.
What you will do
- Set and execute the annual partnerships and sponsorship strategy and revenue targets
- Identify, pitch and close corporate, foundation, government and academic partners
- Package sponsorships for Chicago AI Week, AI 2030 Summits and the AI 100
- Design multi-program partnerships across the Institute, Labs and Accelerator
- Manage partner relationships, deliverables, reporting and renewals
- Maintain the partner pipeline and forecasts in HubSpot
- Work with the CEO and Global Fellows on strategic alliances
What we are looking for
- 8+ years in partnerships, business development, sponsorship or fundraising
- A track record of closing six-figure partnerships or sponsorships
- A strong network in technology, AI, financial services or the nonprofit sector
- Excellent pitching, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fractional, results-driven role
Nice to have
- Experience with event sponsorship sales or membership organizations
- Familiarity with responsible AI, ESG or social impact partnerships
- Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM
